LAMP Regional Libraries

LAMP services are administered from two NLS Regional Libraries:

Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh

Digital audiobooks and downloads, large print books, audio-described DVD movies, and reader advisory services are provided by the former Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at 4724 Baum Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. The Pittsburgh location also produces digital audiobooks for the Pennsylvania Collection in their recording studio, hosts an Advocacy and Advisory group and has a multitude of monthly programs.  This location is responsible for outreach to 15 counties on the western area of Pennsylvania. This regional is open for walk-in and phone service from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians is currently closed to the public. Library staff are available to fill patron requests by phone and will continue to ship materials to patrons of the National Library Service Program via USPS. Free  Library of Philadelphia

Braille books, magazines, large-print books, and reader advisory services are provided by the former Free Library of Philadelphia Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped at 1500 Spring Garden Street, Suite 230, Philadelphia, PA 19130. The Philadelphia Regional produces digital audiobooks for the Pennsylvania Collection in their recording studio, provide on-site Adaptive Technology Center for in-person tech support and training and a multitude of monthly projects. The location is responsible for outreach to 52 counties in the eastern two-thirds of Pennsylvania. This regional is open for walk-in, in-person pick-up of DoD cartridges, and phone services.
